Baking has become a huge part of my life. I’m self-taught and love the precision involved in following a recipe as well as the opportunity to combine flavors and build something from scratch. It’s the project manager in me that drives my passion for baking incorporating planning, precision and organization. So I have the used the skills I learned as a Project Manager in the corporate world and I apply them to home baking. This may sound crazy but there are simple things with some basic project management to help relieve the stress, anxiety and the mess involved in baking especially around the holidays.
My passion for baking has opened the opportunity to host two TV shows and make appearances on local and national television. In the Baker’s Apprentice, I have the opportunity to go inside a professional bakery and work alongside the pros, learning from them and seeing if I have what it takes to bake with some of the best. In Jessica’s Test Kitchen, I try new recipes and kitchen gadgets to see if it makes life easier for the home baker. Christmas at Home is all about sharing recipes that you can make at your home and even get the kids involved.
