Chocolate Chip Cookies

If you like moist, chewy, soft chocolate chip cookies then this recipe is perfect!


1 cup butter (softened)

2 tablespoons canola oil

1 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup sugar

2 eggs

1 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

2 tablespoons cornstarch

3 1/4 cups flour

1 cup milk chocolate chips

1 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips


  1. Line 2 cookie sheets with parchment
  2. Combine flour, salt, baking soda and corn starch in a bowl, set aside
  3. In mixer bowl cream butter and sugars until well blended
  4. Add oil and mix well
  5. Add one egg at a time mixing well after each egg
  6. Add vanilla
  7. Add flour mixture slowly
  8. Mix until just incorporated, not long
  9. Remove bowl from mixer stand and stir in chocolate chips
  10. Place batter in refrigerator for 1 hour
  11. Drop batter by heaping spoonful’s onto prepared baking sheet (2 inches apart)
  12. Place in oven
  13. Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes
  14. Remove from oven and cool on wire rack
